As a Software Specialist at Amdocs, you will be instrumental in managing and optimizing our Splunk infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of Splunk, including SIEM and ITSI, to support and enhance our IT operations. You will be responsible for ensuring that our Splunk environment is secure, efficient, and aligned with business needs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Infrastructure Management. Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Splunk systems. Perform upgrades, patches, and troubleshooting as needed.
2. Security and Compliance. Implement and enforce best practices for Splunk security, access controls, and data retention. Ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
3. Performance Monitoring. Monitor system performance to ensure optimal resource utilization and address potential issues proactively.
4. Custom Solutions. Develop and deploy custom Splunk applications, dashboards, and reports tailored to specific business requirements.
5. Data Management. Create and manage Splunk searches, alerts, and saved reports to facilitate effective monitoring and issue resolution.
6. Integration. Work with cross-functional teams to integrate Splunk with other systems and tools, enhancing overall system functionality and efficiency.
7. Automation and Optimization. Develop automation scripts and workflows to streamline Splunk administrative tasks. Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements.
8. Training and Support. Provide training to end-users and IT staff on best practices for Splunk. Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, customizations, and troubleshooting procedures.

Qualifications

1. Experience. 6-10 years in a related role with extensive hands-on experience with Splunk, SIEM, and ITSI.
2. Education. Bachelor’s degree in Science, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
3. Skills. Proficiency in managing and maintaining Splunk infrastructure, developing custom solutions, and integrating with other systems.
4. Technical Expertise. Strong knowledge of Splunk components, performance monitoring, data management, and security practices.
5. Communication. Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to gather requirements and translate them into effective Splunk solutions.
