We are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join the Adobe Acrobat for Android team. In this role, you will lead the testing and automation strategy for cutting-edge features. You will work closely with developers to design robust automation APIs and tests, enhance existing automated tests, and ensure high-quality releases. Your role will involve test planning, execution, and partnering with the release engineering team to optimize processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead testing and automation strategies for new features.
- Create and maintain automation APIs and tests to enhance code coverage.
- Design and execute test plans and scripts, including functional, black box, grey box, integration, and performance testing.
- Work closely with developers to ensure robust and reliable automation frameworks.
- Partner with the release engineering team to streamline release processes.
- Engage in bug hunts and user testing to ensure thorough coverage and high-quality releases.
- Utilize Jenkins, GIT, and Android Studio for continuous integration and deployment.
- Implement Android automation frameworks such as Espresso and UI Automator.
- Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex issues.
Qualifications
- B.E/B.Tech/MCA in Computer Science or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in quality engineering or software testing.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins, GIT, Android Studio, Kotlin, and Android development.
- Experience with Android automation frameworks like Espresso and UI Automator.
Skills
- Strong programming skills, preferably in Java.
- Proficient in designing and creating test scripts, test cases, and test data for Android applications.
- Knowledge of various test methodologies including functional, integration, performance, and more.
