As a Software Engineer in the Payments team, you will play a crucial role in making payments simple, seamless, and secure for our users. You will work on projects that enhance consumer payment technologies and manage the movement of money between Google and its consumers and businesses.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
- Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Experience developing accessible technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Write product or system development code, ensuring high quality and performance.
- Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to evaluate available technologies.
- Review code developed by other developers, providing feedback to ensure adherence to best practices (style guidelines, accuracy, testability, efficiency).
- Contribute to existing documentation or educational content, adapting materials based on product updates and user feedback.
- Triage product or system issues, debugging and tracking resolutions by analyzing the sources of issues and their impact on hardware, network, or service operations.
