As a Software Engineer III, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, testing, deploying, and enhancing software solutions that power Google's flagship products. You will have the opportunity to manage project priorities and collaborate with various teams, contributing to important technical decisions that impact our user experiences.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in software development using one or more programming languages, or 1 year with an advanced degree.
- 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in an academic or industry setting.
- Experience with full stack development, including back-end (Java, Python, Go, C++) and front-end technologies (JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience developing accessible technologies.
- Proficiency in Angular, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with storage solutions (e.g., MySQL, NoSQL).
- Experience with a Java server framework.
Responsibilities
- Write product or system development code, ensuring high quality and performance.
- Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to select appropriate technologies.
- Review and provide feedback on code developed by peers, ensuring adherence to best practices in style, accuracy, testability, and efficiency.
- Contribute to documentation and educational content, adapting it based on user feedback and product updates.
- Debug and resolve product or system issues by analyzing their sources and impact on operations and quality.
