Join Microsoft Azure for Operators (AFO) team, where cloud innovation meets 5G transformation. We're seeking a dynamic Software Engineer II to design, implement, and monitor large-scale distributed systems. In this role, you’ll be pivotal in developing high-quality, scalable solutions for critical 5G control plane infrastructure. You will work on diverse components, ensuring timely and effective execution, and engage in extensive collaboration with internal teams and customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex, containerized, or networking software solutions.
• Manage the full software lifecycle: architecture, implementation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with Azure/Microsoft teams and customers.
• Own and drive end-to-end component management, including testing and cross-team coordination.
• Utilize your expertise in C++/Rust/Java/Go/Python to build robust products.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years in software development, particularly in networking or distributed systems.
• Strong proficiency in systems programming and software design.
• Experience with containerization and virtualization technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.).
• Familiarity with cloud technologies (Azure, OpenStack, VMware).
• Knowledge of 4G/LTE/5G technologies is advantageous.
• A degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (BS, MS, or PhD).
