As a software engineer at Google, you will be involved in developing and enhancing critical projects that push the boundaries of technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Write and maintain code for product or system development.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and enhance software solutions.
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables effectively.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to the decision-making process regarding technology choices.
- Review code developed by peers and provide feedback to ensure adherence to best practices, including style guidelines, accuracy, testability, and efficiency.
- Contribute to and update documentation and educational content based on product or program updates and user feedback.
- Triage product or system issues and debug, track, and resolve them by analyzing sources of issues and their impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience. At least 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
Preferred Qualifications
- Education. Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Experience. Experience developing accessible technologies.
