Join the Azure Software Load Balancer team, an integral part of the Azure Core Networking team responsible for designing, building, and operating critical network offerings that distinguish us in the market. We develop the software systems behind cloud-scale load balancing solutions, leveraging robust software-defined networking (SDN) infrastructure to autonomously manage the network system. Our continuous innovation focuses on improving agility, scalability, reliability, security, and cost-effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with SDN teams to develop next-generation load balancer technologies for Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Design, develop, and deploy large-scale distributed systems capable of handling massive data processing with exceptional scale and performance.
- Drive the design and implementation of end-to-end telemetry, alerting, self-healing, and automation capabilities to enhance service health, manageability, and reliability.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex system performance issues, identify bottlenecks, and propose technical solutions.
- Translate customer needs into product features and improvements.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide support during non-business hours and handle emergency situations related to Azure Load Balancer.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
- Proven experience coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, or Rust.
Other Requirements
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
- Willingness to undergo Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

- This is a U.S.-based position with remote work options, but relocation is not provided.
