Job Description

As a Software Engineer at Emerson, you will play a pivotal role in the development, testing, and integration of software solutions that drive our Flow Controls systems. In this role, you will be responsible for writing, testing, and automating software in compliance with engineering, software development, and cybersecurity standards. Additionally, you will assist with maintaining our Systems and Software Integration Lab while contributing to various project activities as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and test software to meet engineering specifications, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity and development standards.
  • Design and implement automated testing scripts and manual test techniques to ensure software reliability and performance.
  • Review product documentation (manuals, brochures) for technical accuracy and clarity.
  • Perform technical support activities, troubleshooting and resolving issues as assigned.
  • Maintain and manage the Systems and Software Integration Lab to ensure smooth operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to contribute to project planning and development efforts.
  • Contribute to various project activities as directed by management, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with programming languages, particularly C#.
  • Proficiency in front-end development using technologies like WPF and the MVVM framework.
  • Strong manual and automated software testing skills.
  • Working knowledge of version control systems, especially Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and contribute to shared goals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, analysis, and design principles.
  • Familiarity with mechanical/industrial concepts, enhancing your understanding of our products and solutions.
