We are seeking an experienced Search Engineering Leader to drive innovation in information retrieval, search indexing, and algorithms. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact in a dynamic, startup-like environment, leading initiatives that enhance user experiences across Adobe's product lines.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop a robust search platform that powers Adobe’s Creative Cloud, Document Cloud, and Marketing Cloud.
- Utilize data mining and machine learning techniques to improve ranking and recommendations in search workflows.
- Build and optimize a real-time indexing platform for billions of images, documents, and assets.
- Maintain and enhance the search engine, exploring new ideas and developing features to improve search relevance, recommendations, and user experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to benchmark solutions regarding performance, feasibility, and user experience.
- Leverage technologies such as Elastic Search, REST web services, SQS/Kafka, and deep learning.
What You Need to Succeed
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant industry experience in engineering SaaS-based software development.
- Proficiency in Java, Python, and PHP.
- Experience with web services and REST APIs.
- Familiarity with search engine technology and inverted indexes, particularly Elastic Search or SolR.
- Knowledge of both RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
- Hands-on experience with Big Data processing using Hadoop and Spark.
- Proven experience in building indexing pipelines.
