As a QA Engineer at S&P Global Market Intelligence, you will leverage your expertise to design, develop, and operate test automation processes. Your role will involve creating and executing automated tests, documenting results, and communicating findings to ensure that our applications meet the highest standards of quality. You will be responsible for ensuring that test plans and test cases are appropriate for each project, using test management tools effectively, and developing automated test scripts.
Key Responsibilities
- Automation Testing. Script and run automated tests to ensure comprehensive coverage of application changes.
- Software Testing. Execute tests, document results, and communicate software testing outcomes effectively.
- Test Case Management. Design and create test cases, scenarios, scripts, and procedures, and modify them based on peer review feedback.
- CI/CD Integration. Integrate automated test cases with CI/CD toolsets to streamline the development and deployment process.
- API Testing. Utilize automated testing frameworks/tools (e.g., Cucumber, Java, IntelliJ) for SOAP and REST APIs.
- Communication & Organization. Maintain excellent communication with team members, demonstrate strong organizational skills, and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Defect Resolution. Engage with application development teams to resolve defects and flag test cases for regression suites.
- Script Maintenance. Review, clean up, and maintain existing automated test scripts.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Automation Tools. Experience with scripting and running automated tests, familiarity with Cucumber, Java, IntelliJ is preferred.
- Testing Knowledge. Proficiency in creating and executing test cases, performing problem-solving and root cause analysis.
- CI/CD Tools. Knowledge of integrating automated test cases with CI/CD tools.
- Communication. Fluent in English (both conversational and written), excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Analytical Skills. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to investigate anomalies found during test runs.
- Java Experience. At least 4 years of experience in Java preferred.
- Education. College degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
