Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Software Development Engineer III - Testing to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be pivotal in ensuring the quality and reliability of our critical revenue-generating programs, including Hybrid Checkout, One Key, Expanded Burn, IPM/MOR, and cobranded credit cards. Your expertise in automation and testing will drive our quality assurance processes and help us deliver exceptional software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Mentorship & Leadership. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  2. Collaboration: Work closely with product owners, program managers, and development engineers to address end-to-end quality and automation needs.
  3. Testing & Automation. Plan, execute, and manage testing and automation for complex projects, especially those involving direct-to-customer systems.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement. Partner with stakeholders, including engineering leaders and program managers, to ensure high-quality releases and promote automation adoption.
  5. Automation. Lead efforts to automate manual tasks, aiming to reduce manual efforts and minimize production incidents.
  6. Expertise. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for critical program functionalities, handling production incidents and blockers related to integration and production.

Who You Are

  1. Automation Expertise. Proven experience in creating and managing automation frameworks.
  2. Coding Proficiency. Strong coding skills with hands-on experience in web/native UI automation using tools such as Selenium, NightWatch, or Appium.
  3. Quality Focus. Passionate about application quality with an automation-first approach and extensive experience in test planning and execution for complex projects.
  4. Experienced Leader. 7+ years of experience in software testing and automation, capable of mentoring junior engineers and leading quality initiatives.
  5. Technical Skills. Proficient in writing and reviewing test scenarios, and experienced with CI/CD tools, monitoring tools, and debugging test failures using tools like Splunk.
  6. Innovation-Driven. Proactive in proposing and implementing new ideas to automate functionality, with the ability to design and implement robust, scalable test automation scripts.
  7. Holistic Understanding. Comprehensive understanding of software design principles, data structures, and the relationship between applications, databases, and technology platforms.
