Amazon IN Payments is embarking on an exciting greenfield initiative called PayUI, aimed at revolutionizing the way UX components interact and appear on Amazon Pay pages. As a Software Development Engineer I, you will be instrumental in building a large-scale, tier-1 rendering platform that will serve as the backbone for Amazon Pay’s user interface components. This platform will support and standardize the user experience across all payment pages on Amazon, impacting thousands of customers daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Build. Contribute to the design and development of a new rendering platform for Amazon Pay, focusing on creating reusable UX components and their interfaces.
- Project Life-Cycle. Participate in all phases of the project life-cycle, including requirements review, service design, component development, code testing, and seamless implementation.
- Collaboration. Work closely with product managers, UX designers, software developers, and other client teams to define, design, and build innovative user experiences.
- Technical Excellence. Ensure high standards of code quality and performance through rigorous testing and debugging practices.
- Innovation. Prototype and develop new technologies that enhance the user experience on Amazon Pay pages, leveraging your technical expertise to address complex challenges.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience. At least 1 year of professional software development experience (excluding internships).
- Programming Skills. Proficiency in at least one programming language, with a strong foundation in software development principles and practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Technical Skills. Experience with modern software development tools and methodologies. Familiarity with building scalable and efficient systems is advantageous.
