As a Software Architect, you will play a pivotal role in the development of comprehensive verification IPs (Intellectual Properties) for key industry interfaces such as PCIe Gen5/Gen6, USB3.2, 400Gigabit Ethernet, DDR5, LPDDR5, and leading coherency protocols like CXL. These IPs are integral to our Questa RTL simulation platform, helping design teams find bugs faster and more efficiently than traditional methods.
You will work on defining, implementing, testing, and enhancing these verification components, ensuring they meet the needs of a broad spectrum of end-user applications. This involves working with technologies such as SystemVerilog, UVM, Assertions, Coverage, Test Plans, BFM (Bus Functional Model) design, and debugging.
Key Responsibilities
- Specification & Implementation. Define, implement, and enhance verification components for a variety of complex interfaces such as PCIe, USB, Ethernet, DDR5, LPDDR5, and CXL.
- Verification Engineering. Utilize your expertise in SystemVerilog, UVM, and Assertions to develop high-quality test benches and simulation environments.
- Testing & Debugging. Ensure the verification components are thoroughly tested, debugged, and optimized for performance and reliability.
- Customer Collaboration. Work with TMEs, FAEs, and directly with customers to deploy solutions and address customer-specific issues.
- Documentation & Knowledge Sharing. Provide documentation for verification components, share knowledge across teams, and contribute to the development of best practices within the organization.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Educational Background. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering (B.Tech, M.Tech) or a related field from a reputed institute.
- Experience. 15-20 years of experience in verification engineering, with deep expertise in SystemVerilog and verification methodologies such as UVM, VMM, etc.
- Proficiency in Bus Protocols. Strong knowledge of one or more standard bus protocols such as PCIe, USB, SATA, NVMe, DIMM, etc.
- Verification Tools & Methodologies. Hands-on experience with Questa RTL simulation, test benches, and verification IPs.
- Problem-Solving & Debugging. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, with a focus on optimizing verification processes.
