As a Shopify Developer, you will be instrumental in creating and customizing Shopify themes and applications, leveraging your expertise to deliver exceptional e-commerce solutions for enterprise-level clients.

Responsibilities

1. Custom Development. Develop and customize Shopify themes and applications, ensuring code quality and scalability.
2. Shopify Plus Features. Implement advanced features and functionalities specific to Shopify Plus.
3. Backend Customization. Extend Shopify’s backend capabilities using APIs and GraphQL.
4. Design Collaboration. Work closely with designers to create responsive, pixel-perfect designs.
5. Performance Optimization. Optimize Shopify websites for performance, SEO, and mobile responsiveness.
6. Integration. Integrate third-party services and APIs to enhance Shopify’s core functionalities.
7. Troubleshooting. Resolve issues related to Shopify themes, applications, and integrations.
8. Stay Updated. Keep abreast of Shopify updates, industry trends, and best practices.
9. Mentorship. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers as required.

Requirements

1. Educational Background. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
2. Experience. 3 to 5 years as a Shopify Developer or in a similar role with a portfolio showcasing backend and frontend Shopify projects.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Shopify theme development and customization using Shopify Liquid.
• Strong knowledge of Shopify's backend APIs and GraphQL.
• Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery.
• Soft Skills. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
• Tools. Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Optimization. Familiarity with web performance optimization techniques.

Good to Have

1. Certifications. Shopify certification(s) such as Shopify Developer or Shopify Plus Developer.
2. UX Design. Understanding of UX design principles and best practices.
3. Experience. Previous experience in an agency or e-commerce environment.
4. Headless CMS. Familiarity with headless CMS platforms and other headless e-commerce solutions.
5. Shopify Hydrogen. Experience with Shopify Hydrogen development and successful implementations.
