As a Shift Manager at Q-Express Documents Transport, you'll play a pivotal role in the day-to-day management of our delivery station, overseeing operations focused on the timely delivery of Amazon orders directly to customers. You'll provide leadership to Operations Supervisors and the operations leadership team, ensuring seamless operations, adherence to key performance indicators (KPIs), and exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the delivery station, including allocation of labor, conducting meetings, assigning job duties, and maintaining excellent organizational standards.
- Utilize metrics to analyze performance and identify root causes of issues, driving continuous improvements in processes and operations.
- Provide support during the rollout and implementation of new systems and processes, gathering feedback and ensuring smooth transitions.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including agency management representatives and delivery service providers, to maintain strong relationships and optimize performance.
- Work towards achieving KPIs such as Delivery On Time, First-Time Delivery Success, and Enhanced Customer Service through analytical thinking and effective project management.
- Map business requirements, analyze workflows, and design solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure associates have the necessary tools and resources to perform their duties effectively, coordinating repairs or replacements when needed.
- Communicate daily metrics and report exceptions to relevant stakeholders, maintaining transparency and accountability.
Basic Qualifications
- 1+ years of employee and performance management experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
- Physically capable of pushing and pulling wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds during shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on practical and simple solutions.
- Excellent communication skills to influence both business and technical audiences.
- Familiarity with software and hardware tools for day-to-day operations.
- Ability to thrive in an ambiguous, fast-paced, and dynamic environment.
- Experience in analyzing workflows and designing solutions to drive efficiency.
