Join our dynamic IT - SGA TECHNOLOGY ENABLEMENT team at S&P Global as a Senior Software Developer specializing in Configuration Management Database (CMDB) on the ServiceNow platform. In this pivotal role, you'll be at the forefront of designing, developing, and maintaining our CMDB to enhance business processes and drive automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate & Design. Partner with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and craft solutions for CMDB enhancements and integrations.
- Develop & Deploy. Create, test, and implement CMDB configurations, workflows, and scripts to support various business processes.
- Troubleshoot & Resolve. Address issues related to CMDB data integrity, performance, and functionality swiftly and efficiently.
- Mentor & Guide. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Stay Updated. Keep abreast of the latest ServiceNow features and best practices to ensure our CMDB solutions are cutting-edge.
What We’re Looking For
- Educational Background. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience. Minimum of 3 years in software development, with a strong focus on CMDB on the ServiceNow platform.
Technical Skills
- Expertise in ServiceNow CMDB, including configuration, customization, and integration.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other web technologies.
- Experience with ITIL processes, IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks, and the CSDM Framework.
- Knowledge of IRE Engine, CMDB Remediation, Data Certification, and Compliance/Audit Modules.
- Familiarity with Database Views, Query Builder, and integrations with Service Graph Connector, Cloud Discovery, and cloud tag governance.
Additional Skills
- Experience with REST Integrations, Import Sets & Transforms, Inbound Actions.
- Proficiency in Business Rules, Script Includes, Events, Client Scripts, and other ServiceNow components.
- Experience in troubleshooting Discovery logs and extending patterns is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Normalization activities, SAM/HAM is a plus.
