Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and driven ServiceNow Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in developing, maintaining, and operating Visa’s IT systems and infrastructure to enhance the productivity of our highly connected workforce. You will be instrumental in ensuring that ServiceNow, our central tool for IT services, runs smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with organizational needs.

As a ServiceNow Developer, you will design and implement user-centric solutions, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, and contribute to enhancing the functionality of Visa’s IT systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented professional to collaborate with internal stakeholders and apply technical expertise in a global organization.

Key Responsibilities

Development and Customization

  • Develop, test, and debug new and existing functionalities within the ServiceNow platform to meet specific business requirements.
  • Customize and design intuitive solutions for the ServiceNow IT Service Management (ITSM) module, Portal, and Mobile features.
  • Utilize advanced scripting skills to create robust client-side and server-side components.

Troubleshooting and Optimization

  • Troubleshoot and resolve ServiceNow configuration issues.
  • Identify gaps in requirements and propose effective configuration options, evaluating their respective pros and cons.
  • Implement ServiceNow Best Practices to ensure scalable and maintainable solutions.

Collaboration and Documentation

  • Collaborate with business analysts and internal customers to clarify requirements and design optimal solutions.
  • Create comprehensive technical documentation, including design and build documentation, to support development efforts.
  • Actively participate in project meetings, daily scrums, and communicate development progress effectively.

Research and Analysis

  • Analyze existing systems to identify areas for improvement.
  • Estimate project timelines and provide justifications for development efforts.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree OR 5+ years of relevant experience in a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s degree OR 2 years of work experience with an advanced degree (e.g., Master’s, MBA).
  • Extensive experience with ServiceNow platform development and configuration, including ITSM, Portal, and Mobile modules.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, AJAX, JSON, CSS, REST, SOAP, and HTML.
  • Expertise in APIs, web services, and relational database concepts.
  • In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow security features, including user administration, roles, groups, and ACLs.
  • Familiarity with advanced ServiceNow features like UI Policies, UI Pages, Client Scripts, Business Rules, and Import Sets.
  • Certifications such as CSA, CIS, or CAD are highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills in business process and workflow analysis.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within geographically dispersed teams.
