Job Description

As a ServiceNow ITSM Developer at TCS, you will have the opportunity to leverage your expertise in ServiceNow to design, develop, and deliver solutions that address the dynamic needs of our clients. Responsibilities

Core ITSM Application Development

  • Design, develop, and customize core ITSM modules, including Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Knowledge Management, and CMDB (Configuration Management Database).
  • Create efficient workflows and enhance the capabilities of ITSM applications to meet organizational and project-specific requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with ITIL processes and best practices in all implementations.

Third-Party Integrations

  • Lead the integration of ServiceNow with external systems and third-party applications, ensuring seamless interoperability and efficient data sharing.
  • Use ServiceNow’s APIs and integration tools to connect with other platforms and optimize business workflows.

Custom JavaScript Expertise

  • Build customized solutions and functionalities using JavaScript, enabling enhanced performance and usability of the ServiceNow platform.
  • Write efficient, reusable, and well-documented code that adheres to best practices.
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues effectively, ensuring smooth operations and minimal downtime.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide solutions tailored to business needs.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand pain points and deliver solutions that drive operational efficiency.

Maintenance and Support

  • Provide post-deployment support to ensure seamless functionality of applications.
  • Regularly monitor and optimize the performance of implemented solutions.

Essential Skills and Requirements

  • Extensive hands-on experience in the ServiceNow ITSM Suite (Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, and CMDB).
  • 5–7 years of relevant experience in ServiceNow development and customization.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript for scripting and developing custom functionalities.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL practices and their application within ServiceNow.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with advanced configuration and customization of ServiceNow capabilities.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting issues and providing innovative solutions.
  • Knowledge of other ITSM tools and systems is an added advantage.
