Job Description

As a Senior Technology Specialist - Data & AI at Microsoft, you will play a pivotal role in transforming how businesses leverage data and AI. You’ll be at the forefront of delivering innovative solutions using Microsoft Azure, SQL, Microsoft Fabric, and other advanced technologies. Your role will involve working closely with customers, partners, and internal teams to address complex challenges and demonstrate the value of Microsoft’s data and AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively engage with customers to understand their needs and map Microsoft solutions to their challenges.
  • Lead technical discussions and demonstrations, including architectural design sessions and proof-of-concept engagements.
  • Establish credibility and build strong relationships with customers by leveraging your expertise in data and AI technologies.
  • Act as a liaison between Microsoft and its partners, facilitating collaboration and resource alignment.
  • Support partners by identifying skill gaps and providing feedback to enhance technical capacity and project success.
  • Capture and communicate competitive insights to improve Microsoft’s offerings and develop effective strategies.
  • Collaborate with account and marketing teams to shape strategic plans and tailor messaging to align with customer needs and market conditions.
  • Oversee and conduct product demonstrations and technical evaluations to showcase the capabilities of Microsoft solutions.
  • Apply architectural patterns and sales methodologies to address customer digital transformation needs.
  • Build and execute a personal readiness plan to stay current with industry trends and Microsoft technologies.
  • Engage with the tech community through internal forums, sessions, and mentoring to share knowledge and best practices.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in technical pre-sales or technical consulting.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with cloud sales and/or architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies and cloud technologies.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance.
  • 6+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, consulting, or technology delivery.
  • 4+ years of experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, and migrations.
  • Certification in relevant technologies such as Office 365, Power BI, Azure Architect, or related fields.

  2. Competitive Compensation. The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $103,800 - $200,300 per year, with higher ranges applicable in specific locations like San Francisco Bay Area and New York City.
