As a Senior Technology Specialist - Azure Core, you will play a pivotal role in driving technical excellence and customer engagement for Azure Core services. Your primary focus will be on engaging with customers to address their needs, showcase Microsoft’s Azure Core solutions, and provide expert guidance on integrating and optimizing these technologies. This role combines technical expertise with strategic insight, offering an exciting opportunity to influence and shape the future of cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Anticipate customer needs through data analysis and build credibility by leveraging your knowledge of Azure Core and customer context.
- Independently drive technical discussions and ensure technical wins for Azure Core technologies.
- Improve customer interactions based on feedback and observations, and engage other resources as needed to address technical blockers.
- Collaborate with partners on technical engagement activities and act as a trusted advisor.
- Support partner technical capacity by identifying and aligning resources with Microsoft’s training offerings.
- Share competitive insights and escalate competitive situations to influence strategy development.
- Provide strategic technical input and tailor Microsoft messaging to various audiences, capturing and sharing customer feedback.
- Demonstrate Microsoft solutions through architectural design sessions and proof of concept (POC) engagements.
- Present and apply reference architectures to partners and customers, expanding awareness of digital transformation methodologies.
- Continuously expand your domain knowledge and expertise by engaging with readiness materials, communicating with customers, and participating in the Microsoft tech community.
- Demonstrate new and updated products to increase internal understanding and participate in community events, hackathons, and sessions.
- Embody Microsoft’s culture and values, contributing to a positive and inclusive work environment.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
- OR a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 4+ years of technical pre-sales or consulting experience
- OR a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of technical pre-sales, consulting, or technology delivery experience
- 6+ years of experience with cloud and hybrid or on-premises infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and technology management.
- In-depth knowledge of Azure Core services and technologies.
Compensation
- Technology Specialists IC4. $103,800 - $200,300 per year across the U.S. (varies by location)
- Technology Specialists IC5. $129,200 - $248,800 per year across the U.S. (varies by location, higher ranges applicable in the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City)
