Job Description

As a Senior Technical SEO Analyst at BOLD, you will report to the Manager of Technical SEO and be responsible for all aspects of Technical SEO implementation, focusing on maintaining site health and structure for websites ranging from 5,000 to 100,000 pages. Your role is crucial in providing technical oversight to help the websites achieve success.

Key Responsibilities

  1. SEO Strategy and Optimization. Review, strategize, and optimize web properties to ensure success on Google/Bing.
  2. Site Auditing. Conduct comprehensive site audits, proactively identifying on-page and technical SEO opportunities. Document recommended solutions and collaborate with development teams for implementation.
  3. Analysis and Reporting. Deliver analysis and reporting to inform strategy and editorial teams.
  4. Collaboration. Advise and collaborate with internal teams to enforce technical SEO best practices.
  5. Competitive Analysis. Perform competitive analyses to identify opportunities in technical SEO.
  6. Quality Assurance. Assist with QA of technical SEO implementation.
  7. Performance Optimization. Identify opportunities for improved performance, including site infrastructure, site speed, Core Web Vitals, crawlability, on-page factors, and scalable content.
  8. Link and Structure Management. Manage and review link structuring, canonicalization, schema markup, cannibalization, and core-vitals elements.
  9. Monitoring and Troubleshooting. Monitor crawl/indexation and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
  10. Industry Trends. Stay updated on current SEO industry trends and technologies, building out testing frameworks and methodologies for technical SEO.
  11. Documentation and Reporting. Document and report SEO KPIs to stakeholders.

Qualifications
Required

  1. Experience. 3+ years of technical SEO experience (in-house or agency) for the Technical SEO Analyst role; 5+ years for the Senior Technical SEO Analyst role.
  2. Tools Proficiency. Extensive experience with Google Search Console and Google Analytics. Proven ability to investigate issues with Search Console and experience with Google Tag Manager.
  3. Technical Skills. Advanced capability with Excel and Google Sheets. Experience with back-end SEO elements such as .htaccess, robots.txt, metadata, CWV to optimize website performance. Strong understanding of technical SEO (sitemaps, crawl budget, canonicalization, Schema.org, 301 redirects, etc.).
  4. Platform Expertise. Strong proficiency with WordPress.
  5. Communication. Effective and clear cross-functional communicator.
  6. Programming Knowledge. Knowledge of Python is an added advantage for automating SEO tasks and data analysis.
