IBM is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Analyst to join the APAC Regional IT Program Management team to support core banking technology solutions. In this role, you will work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver functional technology solutions, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and support the implementation of innovative banking programs.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead technology transformations in the Core Banking, Transaction Banking, and Banking Technology Architecture space for major global and regional banks. The role will involve working on a range of projects, from innovative prototyping to larger-scale program delivery, all aimed at delivering high-impact solutions in the banking sector.

Responsibilities

1. Design & Development. Design functional and technical solutions for core banking systems, ensuring they align with both business needs and technical specifications.
2. Program Delivery. Oversee the development and execution of delivery programs, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and meet quality standards.
3. Problem-Solving. Act as a key problem solver, addressing complex technical issues and providing troubleshooting expertise for development tracks.
4. Stakeholder Communication. Engage with stakeholders, including clients and internal teams, to understand business requirements, review solution designs, and deliver presentations to the APAC CIO organization.
5. Leadership & Support. Provide technical leadership to software development teams, supporting them throughout the lifecycle of core banking technology implementations.
6. Banking Platform Expertise. Utilize experience with Transaction Banking, Core Banking platforms, and technologies like Oracle, FIS, API Microservices, and Cloud to deliver high-quality solutions.
7. Agile Practices. Work within an Agile/Scrum methodology, contributing to sprint planning, execution, and overall project management.
8. Integration & Security. Involve in integration efforts with systems such as Cash Management, Trade, Cyber Security, Risk and Compliance, and other critical banking technologies.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 10+ years of experience in banking technology, particularly in areas such as Core Banking, Transaction Banking, or Host-to-Host integrations.
• Proven experience with Core Banking platforms and understanding of banking technology architecture.
• Hands-on experience in software development and web technologies, with the ability to demonstrate previous coding experience before transitioning to project management roles.
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Scrum teams (Scrum Master certification is a plus).
• Ability to understand and implement solutions for global and regional banking platforms.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office tools, with a focus on creating presentation decks and communication materials for clients and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with clients and internal teams.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Master’s degree in Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• Expertise in working with Transaction Banking systems like Cash Management, Risk and Compliance, and Payments.
• Knowledge of Cloud technologies and experience with cloud-native solutions and API microservices.
• Experience with Oracle, FIS, and similar Core Banking systems.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and practices within the banking industry.
