About the Job

LinkedIn, the platform dedicated to empowering professionals worldwide, is seeking a seasoned Senior Staff AI Engineer to assume a pivotal role within our Trust AI Platforms & Foundations team. This team focuses on establishing standardized tools, platforms, and algorithms to support various trust-focused initiatives, including Anti-abuse AI, annotation and review tools, and sampling platforms.

Responsibilities

• Innovation Leadership: Lead the team in delivering state-of-the-art solutions to address complex challenges and ensure the safety of platform members.
• Collaboration and Alignment: Demonstrate strong ownership and collaboration skills, fostering alignment across horizontal and vertical teams. Drive consensus, domain adaptation, and alignment.
• Technical Roadmap: Drive the technical roadmap and architecture for foundational technology across the Trust organization.
• Product and Technology Strategy: Align on product and technology strategy related to Trust issues across functions and organizations within LinkedIn.
• Cultural Leadership: Lead by example to cultivate a culture of craftsmanship and innovation. Mentor the next generation of engineering leaders.

Basic Qualifications

• MS/PhD Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 14+ years' experience in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and ML algorithm-related solutions.
• 5+ years in an architect or technical leadership position.
• Domain expertise in deep learning, Generative AI, and large language models.
• 14+ years of experience in large-scale machine learning modeling both in terms of operation scale and model scale.
• 5+ years of experience in the end-to-end model development life cycle, including data sampling, model training, deployment, and performance evaluation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in pre-training/fine-tuning of large language models, including recent generative set models.
• 5+ years of experience in cross-functional technical leadership, developing and executing strategies.
