We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to partner with our banking clients in building next-generation experiences for Visa cardholders. As a key player within our Visa Managed Services (VMS) team, you’ll work in an agile, client-centric environment where you’ll interact with both business and technical stakeholders, bringing real value to Visa’s clients.

Your Impact and Responsibilities

1. Engineering & Development. Design, document, and develop new systems, and enhance existing software based on design specs and Java best practices, ensuring compliance with Visa’s high security and performance standards.
2. Full Lifecycle Ownership. Engage in a “build it and run it” environment, owning the deployment, monitoring, and support of microservices.
3. Innovation & Quality. Identify areas for improvement in products, standards, and processes; continuously innovate to deliver high-quality products and services that meet client and end-user needs.
4. Stakeholder Collaboration. Communicate technical solutions in business terms to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, providing status updates, addressing issues, and proactively managing risks.
5. Support & Troubleshooting. Partner with test engineers and operational teams to troubleshoot, conduct defect analysis, and resolve issues effectively.

What You’ll Bring

Required

1. Experience. 4+ years of software engineering experience with a Bachelor’s or an Advanced Degree.
2. Technical Proficiency. Strong expertise in Java microservices, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
3. Analytical Skills. Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills to effectively engage with various stakeholders.

Preferred

1. Scalable Solutions. Background in designing secure, resilient, and scalable applications.
2. Database Knowledge. Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres, or MongoDB.
3. Agile Experience. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and iterative development principles.
