We are looking for a seasoned Oracle SQL Developer to join our team, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance applications based on the latest Microsoft and Cloud platforms. The role involves working on database-centric solutions, ensuring smooth data processing, and delivering quality results across both OLTP and Data Warehouse environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Database Development & Maintenance. Design, implement, and optimize Oracle SQL procedures, functions, triggers, and queries. Ensure high efficiency in data retrieval and manipulation.
- Coding & Unit Testing. Write and unit test SQL modules and scripts, ensuring they meet functional and performance requirements.
- Documentation. Maintain clear documentation, including design specifications, technical documents, unit test cases, and process workflows.
- Application Support. Provide L3 support for applications, handle ad hoc requests, production data loads, and execute system integration and regression tests.
- Data Validation. Develop and execute data validation routines to ensure data integrity and consistency across platforms.
- Collaboration. Work closely with business analysts, technical teams, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- System Integration & Testing. Execute integration and regression testing, define test cases, and troubleshoot issues.
- Production Support. Monitor and support production environments, ensuring that issues are promptly addressed and resolved.
- Tool Management. Utilize various tools such as Unix Shell scripts, SFTP, and database reporting tools to support ongoing operations.
Minimum Qualifications
- 6+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
- Strong skills in database development, including writing SQL procedures, functions, and triggers.
- Expertise in shell scripting (Unix/Linux) and working with RDBMS.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex issues.
- Experience with data manipulation tools (e.g., Unix awk, sed, sort).
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple tasks and priorities.
- Experience in writing and reviewing technical documentation (Design Docs, Tech Specs, Test Cases).
Must-Have Skills
- Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, Shell Scripting, and RDBMS concepts.
- Solid understanding of OLTP and Data Warehouse environments.
- Knowledge of data security standards (e.g., PII compliance).
- Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and source code control tools (e.g., CVS, TFS).
- Ability to handle production data loads and change impact processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with data file transfer tools like SFTP and Connect.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint) and text editors.
- Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and manage tasks with a sense of urgency.
- Knowledge of Secure Coding practices.
- Experience with testing tools for system and integration testing.
