As a Senior Software Engineer in the Oracle ERP (EBS in HR Domain) team, you will be a key member of an agile development team responsible for the technical design, software development, and maintenance of critical systems that support the Emirates Group’s business functions. This role will have you working independently on software solutions, problem resolution, and production support, ensuring high-quality, secure, and optimized code.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with senior engineers to analyze technical requirements and contribute to the technical design process.
- Convert requirements into low-level designs and work independently to write secure, optimized code following Emirates’ approved coding standards.
- Implement software solutions, enhancements, and fixes related to Oracle EBS in the HR domain (Core HR, Payroll, SSHR, Absence Management, OTL, Advance Benefits, OLM).
- Participate in the full life cycle of Oracle EBS modules, including development, support, and upgrades.
- Be part of the rotational on-call support team, addressing and resolving production issues within established SLAs, ensuring minimal downtime and impact.
- Ensure code is fully unit tested as part of the CI/CD pipeline, guaranteeing the highest quality and minimal defects.
- Adopt best practices for re-factoring to minimize code debt and ensure continuous improvement in the development process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, reliable software solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, applying new learning to enhance code quality and system performance.
- Follow Emirates Group IT coding standards, guidelines, and best practices, contributing to internal Software Engineering Playbooks and documentation.
Key Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), particularly in HR domains such as Core HR, Payroll, SSHR, Absence Management, OTL, Advance Benefits, and OLM.
- Proficiency in PL/SQL, Oracle Workflow, XML Publisher, and Oracle Application Framework (OAF).
- Strong understanding of Oracle AME and familiarity with Oracle Access Manager.
- Experience in Java, JavaScript, and exposing RESTful APIs through integrated SOA Gateway.
Methodologies
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and best practices in software engineering.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, particularly in Oracle EBS and HR-related modules.
