As a Senior Software Engineer in the Corp Eng team at Google, you will be at the forefront of developing innovative solutions that enhance the productivity and efficiency of Google’s internal operations. You will leverage your technical expertise to design, develop, and maintain software systems that support various business functions across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Write, test, and maintain code for product and system development, ensuring high quality and performance.
• Design and implement scalable and efficient software solutions that meet the needs of internal stakeholders.
• Participate in and lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders, evaluating different technologies to determine the best fit for projects.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Review code developed by other team members, offering feedback to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices, including style guidelines, testability, and efficiency.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of documentation and educational content, adapting materials based on product updates and user feedback.
• Triage product or system issues, debug problems, and analyze the impact on hardware, networks, or service operations.
• Develop strategies to track and resolve issues effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, UX design, and operations, to deliver comprehensive solutions that align with business goals.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in software development using one or more programming languages, with a strong foundation in data structures and algorithms.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
• 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
• Experience developing accessible technologies.
