We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior ServiceNow Developer/Architect to join our team. This position involves applying advanced expertise to address complex business challenges, contributing to innovation, and developing new methodologies within the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of ServiceNow and related technologies, capable of leading initiatives and mentoring team members while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver superior solutions.
You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing innovative ServiceNow solutions tailored to business requirements. Your role will involve working on complex problems that require in-depth evaluation, driving process improvements, and setting best practices to enhance the ServiceNow ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Development & Implementation
- Actively participate in and lead development teams for ServiceNow projects.
- Analyze complex functional and business requirements to design and develop tailored solutions.
- Create and manage high-quality code, including code stubs and reusable components, to implement robust solutions.
- Lead the design and development of ServiceNow modules and customizations, ensuring alignment with best practices.
- Execute comprehensive unit testing to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Technical Leadership
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other developers and team members.
- Influence organizational strategies by contributing to innovative team solutions for complex technical challenges.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on ServiceNow, offering guidance on platform capabilities and best practices.
Solution Design & Maintenance
- Design, prepare, and implement complex infrastructure and software solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
- Develop and execute solutions involving Business Rules, Scheduled Jobs, Script Includes, Transform Maps, Client Scripts, and Service Portals.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of the ServiceNow platform.
- Perform proactive maintenance and troubleshooting to optimize the platform’s performance.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including stakeholders, clients, and vendors, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Represent the organization in client/customer interactions, providing insights and solutions tailored to their needs.
- Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating business needs into technical requirements.
Educational and Professional Requirements
Education
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Alternatively, equivalent professional experience will be considered.
Experience
- A minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience in ServiceNow development and architecture.
- Candidates with a Master’s degree should have at least 5 years of professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience in at least 3 full release cycles of ServiceNow implementations.
Skills and Expertise
- Advanced expertise in the ServiceNow platform, including Business Rules, Scheduled Jobs, Script Includes, Transform Maps, Client Scripts, Service Portal, and Domain Separation.
- Proficiency in programming languages and technologies such as JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML, and CSS.
- Strong understanding of OOPs concepts, Data Structures, Web APIs, and Database Administration.
- Familiarity with modern software development methodologies, tools, and software configuration management (SCM).
- Expertise in software testing methodologies and testing tools.
- Project management skills, including vendor and customer management, and business analysis.
- Strong grasp of advanced web technologies and frameworks.
- Exceptional communication, influencing, and team collaboration skills, particularly in a geographically dispersed environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead by example, mentoring and guiding less experienced team members.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications in ServiceNow modules or platform administration.
- Experience with integrating ServiceNow with third-party systems and applications.
- Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
