Job Description

Avilamb is seeking an experienced Senior Salesforce Developer or Salesforce Architect to join our team of talented professionals. In this key role, you will support the Department of State’s Consular Systems Modernization (CSM) Program within the Bureau of Consular Affairs (CA). This program is focused on modernizing over 90 legacy systems and consolidating them into a common technology framework to improve customer services for the Bureau of Consular Affairs.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead Development Teams. Guide and mentor teams on the best practices for leveraging the Salesforce platform, ensuring high-quality, scalable solutions.
  2. Design & Build Solutions. Architect high-performance technical solutions on the Salesforce platform to meet end-to-end integration requirements.
  3. Integration & Security. Design solutions that address complex integration and security challenges within the Salesforce ecosystem.
  4. Client Presentations. Communicate technical solutions to clients, highlighting design trade-offs and the limitations of various approaches, from concept to successful implementation.
  5. Agile Development. Work within an Agile development environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams and using modern development tools.
  6. Salesforce Customization. Develop advanced solutions utilizing Salesforce Flow, APEX, CRM Analytics, and other Salesforce tools.
  7. Continuous Improvement. Contribute to process improvements and help drive innovation within the Salesforce development lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Education. Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 10 years of professional experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing scalable solutions on the Salesforce.com platform.
  • 1-3 years of experience with MuleSoft (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Salesforce Certified Developer or Architect.
  • Salesforce Admin Certification.

Architect Experience

  • At least 3 years as a Salesforce Architect, working on large-scale Salesforce implementations.
  • Proven experience in designing and building high-performance, scalable Salesforce solutions.
  • Comfortable working in an Agile environment with modern programming languages (Java, .NET, Ruby, etc.).
  • Strong ability to present and articulate technical solutions to clients, including presenting design trade-offs and limitations.

Security & Integration

  • Knowledge of Salesforce security complexities and data integration capabilities.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance. Interim clearance may be acceptable.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Copada tool (nice to have).
  • Familiarity with MuleSoft for integration (nice to have).
