Members of the Source Analysis side of the Data Analysis, Load, and Quality team are pivotal in understanding and documenting processes to enhance current source data standardization mappings and integrate new data sources.
Responsibilities and Impact
- Ensure source and conformed data meet quality standards for downstream users and products.
- Perform data analysis to identify trends and potential issues.
- Coordinate estimation for processing new data files and sources within existing systems.
- Conduct root cause analysis for identified issues.
- Monitor data volumes, quality, and system performance, escalating issues as needed.
- Write detailed business requirement documents for change requests.
- Facilitate communication between internal and external technical and business teams.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant job experience.
- Proficiency in SQL.
- At least 2 years in a role focusing on process, Data Analysis, or Business Analysis.
- Strong problem-solving skills and familiarity with business improvement methodologies.
- Experience with data warehousing concepts, relational databases, and large data volumes.
- Advanced analytical skills, especially in Excel, to analyze data trends and processes.
- Knowledge of the US Automotive Industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of PL/SQL and XML.
