As part of our Data Services Infrastructure team, you will lead the charge in developing the next-generation cloud infrastructure that powers Microsoft’s big data analytics engines. This includes products like Microsoft Fabric, HDInsight, and Cosmos, which demand highly reliable, scalable, and secure solutions.
In this role, you will
- Collaborate with customers, partners, and internal teams to define and prioritize requirements for data services infrastructure across a variety of Microsoft products.
- Identify both short-term and long-term investment opportunities and guide leadership in making informed decisions that impact our product roadmap.
- Own the development of a feature calendar and a long-term roadmap, ensuring alignment with customer needs and market trends.
- Craft detailed, compelling technical specifications that translate customer needs into tangible product requirements.
- Partner with product engineering teams to implement and deploy features that not only meet expectations but also enhance product performance and user experience.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of experience in product/service/project/program management or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience in product management of a commercial technology platform.
- Proven Project Management skills with experience managing large-scale projects across cross-functional teams.
Preferred/Additional Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native services and big data analytics platforms like Cosmos, Spark, Hive, Snowflake, etc.
- Deep knowledge of SQL, Spark, or similar query languages.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills that enable sound decision-making in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives.
- Executive presence with excellent communication and leadership skills to influence key decisions.
