Key Responsibilities

1. Design & Development. Lead and participate in mainframe development and enhancement activities, ensuring code quality and efficiency.
2. Mainframe Batch Support. Provide on-call support for batch processes, including weekend release support as required.
3. Incident & Outage Management. Handle incident resolution and manage system outages, ensuring minimal impact on operations.
4. Reporting, Defect & Enhancement. Develop code to support reporting, fix defects, and implement enhancements.
5. Stakeholder Coordination. Drive daily standups, Kanban, and coordination meetings with cross-functional stakeholders.

Essential Job Functions

1. Technical Expertise. Leverage hands-on experience with JCL, COBOL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM.
2. Problem Solving. Apply analytical, creative thinking, and design skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
3. Collaboration & Communication. Effectively communicate with developers, customers, support teams, and management.

Mandatory Skills and Experience

1. Educational Qualification. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Experience. 6-8 years in mainframe development and support.
3. Technical Skills
   1. Proficiency in JCL, COBOL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM.
   2. Experience with mainframe tools and utilities like File-Aid, Changeman, Syncsort, Xpeditor, and IDCAMS.
   3. Familiarity with Control-M, IOF, and MQ.
4. Development Methodologies. Knowledge of software design, development lifecycle, and implementation methodologies.
5. Communication Skills. Strong command of English (written and spoken).
6. Work Style. Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and work independently or within a team.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Insurance Domain Experience. Previous experience in the insurance sector is a plus.
