What You’ll Do

Backend Development

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable Java applications using Spring Boot.
• Work on event-driven architecture using Kafka, ensuring seamless data flow across financial systems.

Mainframe to Cloud Migration

• Help drive the migration from legacy mainframe systems to cloud-based solutions.
• Optimize data processing and transformation pipelines for scalability and efficiency.

Data Management & Integration

• Develop and optimize data pipelines that capture financial transactions across Walmart stores.
• Work closely with other Walmart teams to ensure seamless integration of data sources.
• Implement NoSQL databases like Cosmos DB for distributed data storage and retrieval.

Collaboration & Innovation

• Participate in architecture discussions, ensuring best practices in system design and development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and optimize workflows.
• Take ownership of projects, leading initiatives and solving challenges proactively.

What We’re Looking For

Must-Have Skills

• Strong Java Development Experience (5+ years)
• Hands-on experience with Kafka for event-driven messaging
• Spring Boot expertise for building microservices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Prior experience working at Walmart
• Experience building event-driven pipelines
• Proficiency in NoSQL databases (e.g., Cosmos DB, MongoDB)
