As a Sr. DevOps Automation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in building, maintaining, and enhancing our Cloud and On-Premise Datacenter environments. Working alongside the infrastructure services teams (virtualization and storage), you will ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of our R&D IT Design Infrastructure. Your expertise in automation and application development will be key to driving our technology forward.

Key Responsibilities

1. Collaboration & Leadership. Work closely with infrastructure services teams to optimize Cloud and On-Premise Datacenter environments.
2. Automation Expertise. Develop and implement automation solutions using tools such as Git, Ansible, Satellite, Salt, Python, Docker, and AWS.
3. Linux Proficiency. Leverage your extensive knowledge of RedHat Enterprise Linux to enhance and manage our systems.
4. Datacenter Knowledge. Apply your understanding of datacenter internals to manage and optimize server deployments, including PXE boot and large-scale automation.
5. Monitoring & Maintenance. Set up and maintain hardware and cloud monitoring services using tools like SPLUNK, AWS native tooling, or Zabbix.
6. Container Management. Utilize RedHat OpenShift or other Kubernetes-based environments for container orchestration.
7. Communication. Use your strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts and inspire teams.
8. Security & Documentation. Implement security measures to protect data and maintain comprehensive, up-to-date documentation.

Qualifications

1. Education. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Experience. Around 10 years of relevant experience as a DevOps engineer with strong automation skills.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency with Git, Ansible, Satellite, Salt, Python, Docker, and AWS.
• Extensive experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux.
• Knowledge of datacenter hardware, PXE boot, and modern automation deployments.
• Experience with monitoring services like SPLUNK, AWS native tools, or Zabbix.
• Familiarity with RedHat OpenShift and Kubernetes-based environments.
• Certifications. RedHat and AWS certifications are a plus.
