As a Senior Competitive Intelligence Analyst at Stem, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our go-to-market strategy by providing critical insights into the competitive landscape. Your expertise will support the Technology & Services Division, enhancing Stem’s market position through comprehensive competitive analysis. You will partner with Product Marketing to deliver actionable insights that inform product positioning, messaging, and sales strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough research and analysis on competitors to assess their market positioning and product offerings.
- Identify gaps and opportunities in Stem’s competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions.
- Maintain a comprehensive competitive database with key information from internal and external sources.
- Provide insights into market trends, competitor strategies, and industry developments.
- Analyze high volumes of data to understand market dynamics and competitive positioning.
- Develop actionable insights for go-to-market activities, product positioning, and messaging.
- Create and deliver training materials on product and technical capabilities for product releases.
- Develop and maintain competitive intelligence tools such as battlecards, product maturity maps, and competitive dashboards.
- Collaborate with sales teams and other key stakeholders to enhance competitive positioning.
- Conduct periodic reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions with customer-facing teams.
- Facilitate the exchange of insights to further inform and refine competitive strategies.
Requirements
- Education. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Experience. Minimum of 2 years in a SaaS or professional services industry; experience in IoT and renewable energy industries is a plus.
Skills
- Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to handle both quantitative and qualitative data.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear, actionable content.
- Proficiency with MS Office, Confluence, and Salesforce.
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
