Job Description

As a Senior Competitive Intelligence Analyst at Stem, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our go-to-market strategy by providing critical insights into the competitive landscape. Your expertise will support the Technology & Services Division, enhancing Stem’s market position through comprehensive competitive analysis. You will partner with Product Marketing to deliver actionable insights that inform product positioning, messaging, and sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough research and analysis on competitors to assess their market positioning and product offerings.
  • Identify gaps and opportunities in Stem’s competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions.
  • Maintain a comprehensive competitive database with key information from internal and external sources.
  • Provide insights into market trends, competitor strategies, and industry developments.
  • Analyze high volumes of data to understand market dynamics and competitive positioning.
  • Develop actionable insights for go-to-market activities, product positioning, and messaging.
  • Create and deliver training materials on product and technical capabilities for product releases.
  • Develop and maintain competitive intelligence tools such as battlecards, product maturity maps, and competitive dashboards.
  • Collaborate with sales teams and other key stakeholders to enhance competitive positioning.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions with customer-facing teams.
  • Facilitate the exchange of insights to further inform and refine competitive strategies.

Requirements

  1. Education. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  2. Experience. Minimum of 2 years in a SaaS or professional services industry; experience in IoT and renewable energy industries is a plus.

Skills

  • Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to handle both quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear, actionable content.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Confluence, and Salesforce.
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a growth mindset.
