Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Azure Sovereign Cloud Customer Engineer to join our Azure CXP team. You will act as the primary escalation support and engineering contact for our Sovereign Cloud partners, driving resolution of complex technical problems, and supporting critical Azure projects. You will also play a crucial role in advocating for customers within the Azure platform, ensuring that partner needs are heard and prioritized.

Responsibilities

  1. Proactive Partner Engagement. Understand the key solutions and workloads of Sovereign Cloud partners, ensuring their objectives are supported through proactive monitoring, event planning, and trend analysis.
  2. Strategic Project Ownership. Take full ownership of project-level Azure issues, drive them towards resolution, and ensure support teams are prepared for key milestones.
  3. Critical Problem Resolution. Lead efforts to resolve critical issues impacting partner workloads. Provide timely updates and manage issues within a 24x7x365 global support framework.
  4. Escalation & Case Ownership. Manage escalated partner support cases, ensuring a seamless resolution experience from initiation to closure. Provide leadership and exceptional support throughout the lifecycle of the case.
  5. Root Cause Analysis (RCA). Oversee the delivery of thorough and timely root cause analyses for reported issues, ensuring preventative measures are put in place for future incidents.
  6. Engineering Advocacy. Advocate for Sovereign Cloud partners by providing feedback and feature requests to the product teams to improve the Azure platform and its resiliency.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 4+ years of experience in product/service/project/program management or software development, or equivalent experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 7+ years of experience in product/service/project/program management or software development, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience supporting and troubleshooting enterprise-level, mission-critical applications and resolving highly complex issues.
  • Strong ability to empathize with partners, explain technical issues clearly to a varied audience, and advocate for customer needs to the appropriate channels.
  • Core IaaS. Compute, Storage, Networking, High Availability
  • Data Platforms. SQL Server, Azure SQL DB, HDInsight/Hadoop, Machine Learning, Azure Stream Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks
  • Azure PaaS. Redis Cache, Service Bus, Event Hub, IoT Suite, Mobile Apps
  • Identity & Authentication. Azure AD, ADFS, SSO/Federation

Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)

  • Experience with automation languages such as PowerShell, Python, C#, or open-source tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and drive technical resolutions across multiple teams.
