Key Responsibilities

Drive Strategic Finance System Enhancements

• Lead critical business operations and cross-functional projects across engineering teams, ensuring smooth execution of company-wide initiatives.
• Optimize and enhance Oracle Fusion Cloud functionalities across core financial modules, including Order Management (OM), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Fixed Assets (FA), and General Ledger (GL).
• Proactively leverage quarterly Fusion upgrades to introduce new features, enhancing financial operations and aligning with business objectives.

Embrace an Automation-First Mindset

• Identify operational inefficiencies and implement Robotic Process Automation (RPA), low-code/no-code tools, and process automation solutions to improve productivity.
• Work on integrating AI/ML powered automation within financial systems, revolutionizing the way Finance teams operate.
• Drive digital transformation by simplifying workflows and reducing manual dependencies.

Integrate and Maintain Best-of-Breed SaaS Solutions

• Work within Atlassian’s best-of-breed SaaS ecosystem, ensuring seamless integration and operation of Zuora, Coupa, Anaplan, Avalara, Fieldglass, and other finance-related SaaS applications.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to maintain and optimize integrations between Oracle Fusion Cloud and external finance platforms.
• Ensure data consistency and integrity across different financial applications, improving decision-making processes.

Focus on Metrics, Compliance, and Business Outcomes

• Develop key performance metrics to measure business impact and continuously improve financial system efficiency.
• Collaborate with Internal Audit and compliance teams to ensure that SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) compliance and security best practices are upheld.
• Align technology initiatives with business objectives, ensuring that every project contributes to measurable improvements.

Collaboration and Problem-Solving

• Work closely with a diverse team of engineers, data scientists, product managers, and finance professionals to drive innovation.
• Understand end-to-end business flows and the impact of upstream system changes on finance operations.
• Solve complex business challenges while balancing short-term wins and long-term architectural stability.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 12+ years of industry experience in application development, particularly in financial systems.
• Strong expertise in Oracle Fusion Cloud and experience with financial modules (OM, AR, AP, FA, GL).
• Experience working with SaaS platforms like Zuora, Coupa, Fieldglass, Anaplan, and Avalara.
• Hands-on experience in process automation, RPA, PaaS, and business rules engines (BRE) such as Workato and Camunda.
• Exposure to upstream and downstream systems such as Salesforce and Databricks.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and the ability to implement AI-driven use cases within finance functions.
• Strong understanding of SOX compliance and financial audit requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage highly reliable 24x7 financial systems.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders across multiple teams.
