Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Service Engineer to join our endpoint protection management team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining endpoint systems, ensuring they are free from vulnerabilities, and implementing security controls to ensure devices are secure. You will collaborate closely with Microsoft Product Group teams, project managers, and IT service teams to develop, automate, and deploy complex security controls effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Enable endpoint security controls and monitoring tools within the vulnerability management program affecting Microsoft cloud services and infrastructure.
  • Understand and address various attack surface vectors, behaviors, and tools in use today.
  • Drive the design, writing, and delivery of security solutions to enhance the availability, scalability, integrity, latency, and efficiency of endpoint security controls.
  • Analyze telemetry/data to develop capacity planning models, identify patterns, and highlight opportunities for automation in monitoring and managing services/products.
  • Identify and analyze problems related to mission-critical services, and build automation to prevent reoccurrence, aiming for automated responses to non-exceptional service conditions.
  • Develop and configure end-to-end service telemetry, alerting, and self-healing capabilities, along with authoring functional and technical documentation.
  • Engage in deep technical discussions with product engineering, project management, and operations teams to optimize products and services.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to convert requirements into actionable tasks and participate in on-call rotations to resolve live site incidents.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of cybersecurity experience, encompassing both defensive and offensive techniques.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure and cloud platforms like Azure/Cloud Services, including security control deployment and management.
  • Hands-on experience with data queries and analytics using technologies such as Kusto and Azure Data Lake Storage, as well as visualization and reporting with Power BI or similar tools.
  • Deep knowledge of system internals across MacOS, Windows, Linux, iOS, and Android platforms.
  • Experience in automation development using PowerShell or other scripting languages.
  • Familiarity with information security concepts and experience in Threat and Vulnerability Management is a plus.
  • Broad understanding of security vulnerabilities and threat attacks (Hardware, Firmware, Software, Network, and People) with an ability to adapt to new technologies and threats.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven track record of collaboration with cross-functional security teams.
