Job Description

As a Sales Manager for Amazon Devices at AWIPL, you'll be at the forefront of driving sales growth and expanding our presence in the offline retail channel within India. This role is pivotal in achieving and surpassing sales targets while ensuring an exceptional customer experience across our designated territory. You'll lead a team, champion our devices, and collaborate closely with channel managers to devise strategies for penetrating high-value regions and accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Drive Sales Growth. Increase sales through offline retail channels by expanding channel size and store throughput, ensuring agreed sales targets are met or exceeded.
  2. Team Management. Lead and manage field sales staff, ensuring productivity and alignment with sales objectives.
  3. Customer Experience. Partner with Channel Managers and Channel Marketing Manager to ensure an outstanding in-store customer experience.
  4. Product Evangelism. Serve as the Kindle evangelist for your region, training field sales teams on effectively selling our devices, accessories, content, and ecosystem.
  5. Performance Monitoring. Monitor and respond to sales program metrics within your region, making data-driven decisions to optimize performance.
  6. Strategic Partnerships. Collaborate with Channel Managers to develop programs and processes targeting highest value regions, accounts, and stores.
  7. Retailer Management. Manage in-store product transitions and communications with retailers, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication.
  8. Market Intelligence. Collect business and market intelligence to inform strategic decisions and identify expansion opportunities among regional retailers.
  9. Hands-On Approach. Be proactive in handling day-to-day tasks, ensuring smooth operations and driving a better customer experience.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of sales experience, with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience in analyzing data and performance drivers to inform strategic decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to close sales and generate revenue.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in building new customer relationships and expanding market presence.
  • Strong influencing skills, with experience engaging C-level executives.
  • MBA or equivalent qualification preferred.
