Minimum Qualifications
- PhD degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- One or more scientific publication submission(s) for conferences, journals, or public repositories.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of coding experience.
- 1 year of experience owning and initiating research agendas.
Responsibilities
- Research Paper Authoring. Produce impactful research papers to disseminate findings both within the team and across the wider research community, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Research Trend Analysis. Help foster a culture of innovation by staying abreast of research trends and best practices and sharing insights with cross-functional teams to enhance research capabilities.
- Solution Development. Define data structures, frameworks, designs, and evaluation metrics to take ownership of research solution development. Manage project timelines and resource allocation efficiently.
- Strategic Planning. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify emerging research areas and contribute to the development of long-term research strategies, driving the expansion of Google's research impact.
- Experimentation and Prototyping. Conduct experiments, develop prototypes, and run simulations to evaluate the efficacy of research hypotheses. Refine research methodologies to ensure robustness and accuracy.
Benefits and Compensation
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $136,000-$200,000 + bonus + equity + benefits, with variations based on role, level, and location.
