We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Prompt Engineer to design, develop, and optimize prompts for a variety of applications, including text generation, translation, question answering, and creative writing. In this role, you will collaborate closely with product teams, data scientists, and engineers to understand user needs and translate them into effective and high-quality prompts. You will also be responsible for analyzing the performance of these prompts, iterating on them based on feedback and performance metrics, and conducting experiments to explore new techniques in natural language processing (NLP).

Key Responsibilities

Prompt Design & Development

• Create and design effective prompts for various applications, including natural language generation, translation, question answering, and creative writing. Ensure these prompts align with the specific goals and needs of the product or project.
• Collaborate with product teams to understand the objectives and end-user requirements and transform these insights into structured, high-quality prompts.

Analysis & Optimization

• Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of existing prompts based on defined metrics, user feedback, and AI output quality.
• Iterate on prompts to improve accuracy, coherence, and engagement, adjusting for any gaps or weaknesses identified through testing or user feedback.
• Conduct regular testing and research to explore new prompting techniques and technologies and apply these insights to enhance workflow and performance.

Research & Innovation

• Stay up to date on the latest advancements in natural language processing (NLP), machine learning (ML), and AI technologies. Use these developments to inform prompt creation and continuously optimize the prompt engineering process.
• Experiment with new prompt strategies, evaluate their effectiveness and contribute to the evolution of the company’s AI-driven content generation capabilities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and product managers, to align on the technical requirements and goals for each prompt and ensure that prompts support product goals.
• Share insights, research findings, and optimization strategies with stakeholders to inform future development efforts.

Documentation & Communication

• Document your work clearly and concisely to ensure transparency, and create well-organized reports and guides on prompt optimization processes for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Present your findings and communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and product owners to drive collaboration and alignment on prompt engineering efforts.

Qualifications and Skills

Strong Understanding of NLP & AI

• In-depth knowledge of natural language processing, machine learning, and AI technologies. Experience with large language models such as GPT-3, GPT-4, or similar systems is a plus.
• Expertise in AI-driven content generation techniques and familiarity with the challenges of ensuring accuracy, context, and fluency in AI outputs.

Experience with AI Tools

• Proven experience working with advanced AI-related tools and platforms, such as ChatGPT, OpenAI, or other language models.
• Familiarity with data analysis techniques to measure and assess the performance of generated content.

Programming & Technical Skills

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, with hands-on experience using relevant libraries and frameworks for machine learning and NLP, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face Transformers.
• Strong technical foundation that allows you to work with AI systems and make adjustments to optimize performance and output.

Communication Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex AI-related concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• A passion for language, storytelling, and crafting engaging, creative content. Ability to generate innovative ideas and communicate them effectively.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills

• Strong analytical skills to evaluate AI-generated content, assess performance metrics, and optimize prompt quality based on data insights.
