As a Program Manager for Global Engineering Services, you will oversee the expansion, fit-out, and launch of cutting-edge Fulfillment Centers (FCs) that are pivotal to Amazon's operations. This role is based in the UAE and involves significant travel (up to 50%) across AMET (Africa, Middle East, and Turkey) and European countries. You will be instrumental in managing large-scale projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget, while driving strategic business outcomes through effective project management.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management. Oversee CAPEX projects within a multicultural and multidisciplinary organization, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery of fulfillment operations.
- End-to-End Ownership. Manage all aspects of warehouse project deliverables, from planning and scheduling to resource allocation and execution.
- Integrated Scheduling. Perform resource planning, critical path analysis, and schedule optimization for multiple interdependent projects.
- Stakeholder Coordination. Work with Construction, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Procurement, and Legal teams to ensure cohesive project execution.
- Vendor Management. Coordinate material flow and installation schedules with vendors, manage purchase orders, and track deliverables.
- Risk Management. Monitor project status, communicate potential risks and issues, and implement solutions to ensure project success.
- Autonomous Work. Operate independently in a dynamic environment, making decisions that impact project outcomes and business strategy.

Your day will involve engaging with all organizational levels to align on strategy, managing the development of fulfillment centers from inception to operation, and planning resources to execute activities according to a comprehensive schedule. You will oversee stakeholder coordination, make key decisions, and celebrate the successful launch of each facility.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of industry experience, including at least 2 years in Program Management.
- Proven experience in managing large infrastructure projects and leading cross-functional teams.
- Strong skills in project budget management and spend control.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and MS Project.
- Basic experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
- Flexibility to travel up to 50% across AMET/Europe.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to manage and influence external business partners and internal teams effectively.
- Hands-on experience with technical equipment installation and operations ramp-up.
- Background in distribution environments and familiarity with material handling equipment.
- Experience with BIM/CAD software and supply chain optimization.
- Project Management certification (PMP, Prince2, etc.).
- Experience in launching logistics centers or large facilities, including equipment deployment.
- Additional language skills (Arabic, Zulu, Afrikaans, French, Turkish, Spanish, German) are a plus.
