Power Pages is a rapidly growing capability of Microsoft Power Platform, used by large organizations, educational institutions, and governments to quickly design and launch external data-centric websites. As part of this team, you will help drive user satisfaction and product success with a focus on low-code solutions, generative AI, and creating delightful experiences for over 270 million Power Pages customers worldwide.

Responsibilities

1. Lead Design Communication. Effectively communicate your work with peers, managers, and stakeholders to set the context, foster collaboration, and ensure clear understanding through all stages of design and development.
2. Collaborate Cross-Functionally. Work with program managers and engineers to iterate on both new and existing product features. You’ll influence team members and contribute to impactful product design decisions.
3. Leverage Design Systems. Utilize a prescribed design system—components, icons, UI controls, and visual guidelines—to enhance your design outcomes, collaborating with other designers to foster team improvements.
4. Own Product Areas. Take ownership of specific product areas from concept to delivery, ensuring your designs align with overall product architecture and work seamlessly with the rest of the platform.
5. Prototype Efficiently. Build and present prototypes for new features, actively seeking and incorporating feedback from design, product, and engineering teams.
6. Drive Design Vision. Contribute to a coherent vision and experience strategy, refining UX elements and in-product language to deliver high-quality user experiences that are tested, validated, and iterated upon.
7. Ensure Responsible AI. Ensure that AI-driven experiences meet Microsoft’s Responsible AI criteria, embedding ethical design principles into every aspect of your work.

What To Expect

1. Collaborate & Lead. Guide products from concept to launch, partnering with teams inside and outside of design to deliver innovative user experiences.
2. Present & Iterate. Present ideas and design concepts across all stages—research, personas, usability testing—and adapt your presentations to different audiences.
3. Advise on UI/UX Best Practices. Bring an informed point of view to design decisions, integrating customer intent, interaction patterns, and mental models to enhance the user experience.
4. Contribute to Microsoft’s Mission. Empower people and organizations through design, collaborating with global teams to create products that work better for everyone.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction, UX Design, Interaction Design, or a related field AND 3+ years of experience in product or service design.
• OR equivalent demonstrated experience in product or service design and applying design thinking to solve complex problems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven experience crafting user-centered designs across desktop, cloud services, and mobile platforms.
• A portfolio showcasing your ability to create user-centered design solutions. (Include a link to your portfolio or upload it with your application.)
• Fluency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, or similar platforms.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• A growth mindset with a willingness to learn, adapt, and explore new ideas while owning and learning from mistakes.
