As a Product Designer 2 on the Microsoft Purview UX Team, you will be a key player in crafting intuitive and accessible experiences. Your work will leverage modern aesthetics and the latest generative AI technology while continuously improving designs based on telemetry and customer feedback.

Key Responsibilities

1. User-Centric Design. Define product design needs by analyzing user insights and business objectives, incorporating unspoken needs into comprehensive design plans.
2. Ideation and Collaboration. Utilize various ideation methodologies to generate innovative solutions. Collaborate closely with product owners and development teams to shepherd designs from concept to launch.
3. Prototyping. Create efficient prototypes for new products and features. Present designs to stakeholders and customers to gather feedback and refine user needs.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration. Work with key stakeholders, including Engineering, PM, and User Research, to ensure design solutions meet business, technical, and user requirements.
5. Design System Utilization. Leverage a prescribed design system to maintain consistency and quality in your work. Share knowledge and collaborate with other designers for continuous improvement.
6. Effective Communication. Clearly convey your design process and decisions to peers and stakeholders. Organize communication effectively across teams throughout the design and development lifecycle.
7. Influence and Facilitate. Engage with team members to iterate on product features and participate in design studies, influencing product design outcomes through collaboration.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or a related field, AND 3+ years of experience in product or service design.
• Proficient expertise in Figma.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field AND 5+ years of experience in product or service design, OR a Master’s Degree in a related field AND 3+ years of relevant experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in shipping products or services, demonstrating an end-to-end design process.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including passing the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
