As an Associate Product Designer at American Express, you will play a key role in creating user-centered experiences and interfaces for our digital products and solutions. This role involves enhancing end-to-end user journeys and working on tools used across the company to store, access, and analyze customer data. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to produce high-quality UX artifacts and support the optimization of our tools. You will receive guidance from your design leader and be part of a collaborative community dedicated to continuous improvement in design.
Key Responsibilities
- Interface Design. Build visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces for digital products, applying usability and user-centered design principles.
- User Research. Conduct and analyze user research, capture feedback, and create wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to ensure efficient user experiences.
- Collaboration. Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to gather requirements, provide design insights, and maintain design consistency across platforms and devices.
- Support. Assist senior team members in developing basic concepts and prototypes. Participate in design presentations and support internal delivery.
Skills Required
- Design Skills. Proficiency in accessibility design, customer journey mapping, design thinking, prototyping, and wireframing.
- Technical Skills. Familiarity with user-centered design methodologies, research processes, and product strategy.
- Communication. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document and share processes engagingly.

Requirements
- Experience. At least 1 year of experience in a product design organization or a similar role.
