Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Principal Recruiter to join our expanding India R&D Recruiting team. In this pivotal role, you'll leverage your expertise to identify, engage, and hire the best talent across engineering, product, and design domains. As a Principal Recruiter, you’ll be responsible for managing the entire recruitment lifecycle and shaping the future of our engineering teams by hiring complex senior-level roles.

Your work will help define the Atlassian culture, ensuring a top-tier candidate experience that reflects our values and mission. You’ll play a key part in driving recruitment strategy, mentoring the broader recruiting team, and continuously innovating to meet our growing talent needs.

What You’ll Do

  1. Lead Recruitment for Senior R&D Roles. Partner closely with senior leaders across the R&D organization to hire senior-level positions, from engineering to product and design.
  2. Develop Recruitment Strategy. Utilize market data, metrics, and insights to create compelling hiring strategies that align with business goals.
  3. Drive Scalable Solutions. Identify opportunities to streamline and scale our recruitment efforts, ensuring collaboration and visibility across leadership teams.
  4. Mentor and Guide. Act as a resource for the broader recruiting team by offering advice on best practices, overcoming challenges, and fostering professional growth.
  5. Promote Diversity and Inclusion. Help build balanced teams that reflect Atlassian’s commitment to inclusivity and diversity. Your efforts will ensure our hiring processes support a workplace where everyone can be themselves.

What You’ll Bring

  1. Proven Recruiting Experience. In-house or agency recruiting experience within the technology sector, specifically software.
  2. Expertise in Software Industry Recruiting. A deep understanding of the competitive landscape and the challenges of recruiting in the software industry.
  3. Pipeline Management Skills. The ability to manage large and diverse candidate pipelines while maintaining a high-quality experience for all candidates.
  4. Leadership Collaboration. Experience partnering with senior leaders in a consultative capacity, navigating complex hiring processes and influencing outcomes.
  5. Innovative Sourcing. Expertise in using creative sourcing strategies, including non-traditional channels to identify top talent.
  6. Consultative Approach. A data-driven mindset with a passion for providing insights to hiring managers and influencing hiring strategies.
  7. Tool Proficiency. Familiarity with ATS tools like iCIMS, LinkedIn, and job boards, among others.
