Job Description

The Design Enablement organization at NXP is dedicated to collaborating with product design teams to define and develop advanced EDA tools, flows, and methodologies. Our goal is to disseminate best practices and support NXP’s product design efforts globally.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with design and verification teams to understand requirements and execute comprehensive test plans.
  • Utilize simulation and formal verification methodologies to enhance design accuracy.
  • Develop and implement checkers, assertions, and stimulus to drive robust verification.
  • Promote and apply automation techniques to ensure efficient and reusable code across projects.
  • Work within an international team, aligning with global standards while managing a specific sub-domain.
  • Apply Power Intent Standards (UPF) to ensure power efficiency.
  • Perform static power checks using tools like VCLP, Conformal, and JGLPV.
  • Verify low power features through power-aware tools and contribute to power estimation efforts.
  • Debug design issues and propose effective solutions.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in semiconductor or high-technology R&D environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of SoC architecture and its use cases.
  • Proficiency in functional and formal verification methodologies.
  • Expertise in platform-level flow development using Object-Oriented Programming, preferably with Python.
  • Advanced knowledge of verification tools such as VCS/Execution Manager and/or Xcelium/vManager.
  • Strong understanding of verification methodologies like Universal Verification Methodology (UVM).
  • Experience with low power verification methodologies is a plus.
  • Familiarity with IP/SoC verification using C/ASM is advantageous.
  • Experience in Object-Oriented Software/Flow development with Python or Perl/TCL.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently or collaboratively, and possess excellent communication skills.
