Key Responsibilities

Platform Infrastructure

  • Design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS, S3, and Kubernetes.
  • Optimize platform performance to meet evolving business needs.

Data Integration & Pipelines

  • Lead integrations with tools like Snowflake, Fivetran, and Apache Kafka for seamless data processing.
  • Build and maintain efficient data pipelines to support business analytics and operations.

Observability & Monitoring

  • Implement robust monitoring and alerting systems using NewRelic, Splunk, and Monte Carlo.
  • Ensure platform health through proactive issue identification and resolution.

Security & Access Control

  • Enforce secure access using OAuth 2.0, PrivateLink, and industry best practices.
  • Enhance the security posture of cloud and data platforms.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Mentor junior engineers, fostering growth and innovation within the team.
  • Collaborate with data teams, product teams, and cloud architects to ensure seamless platform integration.

Platform Optimization

  • Identify and implement improvements for performance, security, and cost-efficiency.
  • Adopt best practices for infrastructure and application management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  1. Experience. 8+ years in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, or related fields.
  2. Cloud Expertise. Proficiency in AWS, S3, and Kubernetes for managing scalable infrastructure.
  3. Data Tools. Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Fivetran, and Apache Kafka.
  4. Monitoring Tools. Deep understanding of NewRelic, Splunk, and Monte Carlo for observability.
  5. Security. Expertise in secure access practices using OAuth 2.0, PrivateLink, and cloud security measures.
  6. Leadership. Proven ability to mentor teams and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
  7. Problem-Solving. Strong analytical skills and a passion for optimizing large-scale systems.
