As an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA), you will be responsible for managing and maintaining mission-critical Oracle database systems. You will ensure high availability, performance tuning, security, and disaster recovery readiness. This role demands strong troubleshooting skills, expertise in Oracle RAC environments, and a proactive approach to database performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage Oracle database instances, including Single Instance and Real Application Clusters (RAC).
- Perform Disaster Recovery (DR) drills and implement Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) for enhanced database security.
- Optimize database performance by monitoring system health, analyzing queries, and fine-tuning configurations.
- Upgrade Oracle databases from older versions (10g, 11g, 12c) to the latest versions, ensuring seamless transition and minimal downtime.
- Perform database migrations across different servers and platforms.
- Install, configure, and implement Oracle databases as per best practices and business requirements.
- Manage database user roles and privileges to ensure secure access and compliance with organizational policies.
- Regularly apply Patch Set Updates (PSU) and security patches to maintain database stability and security.
- Work closely with infrastructure and application teams to allocate hardware resources efficiently, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
- Proactively monitor database systems to detect and resolve potential issues before they impact business operations.
- Handle multiple RDBMS environments across large-scale enterprise systems.
- Implement Oracle Vault and E-Wallet solutions to enhance database security and regulatory compliance.
- Utilize RMAN (Recovery Manager) for backup, restoration, and disaster recovery planning.
- Perform database exports and imports as required by business and client needs.
- Develop capacity planning strategies to anticipate and prepare for future database growth.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues with a methodical and analytical approach.
Desired Competencies
- Expertise in managing Oracle RAC instances for versions 11g, 12c, and 18c.
- In-depth understanding of RAC networking, background processes, and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture, performance tuning, and query optimization.
- Hands-on experience in database cloning, replication, and high availability solutions.
- Practical experience with Oracle Data Guard, ASM (Automatic Storage Management), and partitioning techniques.
- Familiarity with cloud-based Oracle database solutions and integration with enterprise applications.
- Ability to analyze complex database performance issues and provide strategic solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and self-driven mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) or Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
- Experience with Oracle GoldenGate, Exadata, or other high-performance database solutions.
- Working knowledge of scripting languages such as Shell, Python, or PL/SQL for automation.
