In this role, you will be the driving force behind our world-class NoSQL data infrastructure, playing a pivotal role in delivering exceptional services and support to development teams across our organization.

What You Will Do

1. Database Management. Oversee and maintain thousands of production customer NoSQL database clusters, ensuring high availability and performance.
2. Automation & Innovation. Develop and automate new methodologies to manage large database clusters and enhance existing NoSQL database performance.
3. Technology Advancement. Explore and push the limits of Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Cassandra, and other relational and NoSQL technologies.
4. Cloud Computing. Work with cutting-edge cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.
5. Customer Support. Provide exceptional support to all customers through innovative solutions tailored to their needs.
6. Environment Sustainability. Create and maintain sustainable and efficient environments for our NoSQL databases.
7. Installation & Troubleshooting. Install, configure, update, and troubleshoot large database and search environments and applications.
8. Collaboration. Collaborate with Engineers, DBAs, and System Administrators to resolve technical issues.
9. Community Engagement. Participate in industry conferences and contribute to knowledge sharing through articles and blogs.

Who You Are

• Education. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience

• 5+ years managing and administering Elasticsearch clusters.
• 2+ years of experience with AWS services.
• 3+ years in other NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB and Cassandra.
• Proven experience managing highly available, scalable production systems, ideally with environments exceeding 100 nodes and terabytes of data per index.
• Background in both cloud environments and direct host-level deployments.

Technical Skills

• Strong scripting skills in languages like Python and Bash for automation.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of data security, architecture, replication, and administration.
• Extensive knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.

Soft Skills

• Fast learner, creative thinker, and effective problem solver.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable using collaborative tools like Slack and JIRA.
• Highly motivated, dedicated, and responsive, even outside of regular working hours.
